The Chengdu Sister Cities Scholarship is established exclusively for foreign citizens from Chengdu’s international sister cities and friendly cooperation cities, to support their studies at institutions of higher education in Chengdu. Eligible foreign citizens may apply for our university’s undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs in 2026.
1.1 Target Beneficiaries: Foreign citizens who were born, resided, studied, or worked in Chengdu’s sister cities and friendly cooperation cities (see the attachment for the list of cities), or are currently residing, studying, or working in these cities.
1.2 Funding Standards:
Undergraduate student: RMB 20,000 per year, for a maximum of 4 years;
Master’s student: RMB 25,000 per year, for a maximum of 3 years;
Doctoral student: RMB 30,000 per year, for a maximum of 3 years.
This scholarship does NOT waive any fees. All expenses including but not limited to tuition fees, accommodation fees, living expenses, and comprehensive medical insurance shall be borne by the student him/herself. The scholarship is subject to dynamic management; students must pass the annual review to receive the scholarship for the following academic year.
2.Eligibility Criteria
1.Comes from international sister cities or friendly cooperation cities of Chengdu.
2.Shall not be eligible for any other scholarships simultaneously.
3.Shall meet other admission requirements stipulated by Sichuan University.
