5.How long will it take for me to know the admission result after submitting the application?
Sichuan University will evaluate students based on their academic performance and language proficiency, and, if applicable, their performance in interviews or written tests. Following the principle of merit-based admission, the university will determine the list of pre-admitted students in batches. Generally, applicants can check the final review results on the Sichuan University online application system within 4-8 weeks after submitting their application.
6.Do I need to contact the relevant advisor during the application stage? If so, what is the appropriate way to do so?
It is recommended that master's and doctoral applicants proactively establish contact with potential supervisors through formal channels such as email before submitting their applications. When contacting, you may send relevant materials that demonstrate your academic background and research potential, such as your CV and personal statement (PS).

It should include basic personal information (name, nationality, educational background), application intention (major, degree type), personal academic experience/achievements, alignment with the supervisor's research interests, a summary of your research plan, along with core documents such as your CV, transcripts, and language certificates. 9.If I am under 18 years old, can I apply for an undergraduate program at Sichuan University?
Applicants are required to meet the age requirement of 18 to 25 years old in principle. Students under the age of 18 may apply for undergraduate programs at Sichuan University. Among them, for applicants who are still under 18 years old at the time of enrollment, the following guardianship requirements must be met: at least one of the parents shall assume guardianship responsibilities in China; if the parents are unable to stay in China for a long time, they shall entrust an adult Chinese national or foreign national with long-term residence in China as the student's guardian, and submit a notarized document of guardianship entrustment. This guardianship arrangement shall remain in effect until the student reaches the age of 18.
10.Can I apply for admission in the spring semester?
The spring semester is open for applications only for the non-degree program and the Chinese language undergraduate program at the School of Overseas Education. The application period is from September 15 to November 30.
11.Can students from international schools with IB scores apply to Sichuan University?

14.I have already applied to other domestic universities as a first-year student and have also received CSC approval to transfer to another university. I want to transfer to Sichuan University; will Sichuan University accept me?
For students of CSC Category A applying for transfer to our university, our university will review the applicants' materials and confirm whether there are supervisors and colleges willing to accept them. There is no specific format. The recommendation letter is suggested to be written by a professor in this research field and must be personally signed by the professor.

No. All materials must be submitted before the application deadline. Foreign students applying to study in China must have their Certificate of No Criminal Record translated into Chinese or English if it is not already in either language. Additionally, the translated document must be notarized.
20.What are the filling specifications for "Educational Experience" and "Family Member Information" when filling out the application form?
For educational experience, fill in the information in order according to the academic level. For non - degree students, start from the current educational stage; for undergraduates/postgraduates, start from high school; for doctoral students, start from the undergraduate stage. Avoid omitting key academic stages. For family member information, mainly fill in the details of parents, children, or spouses. You can select one family member as the "financial guarantor", "affairs guarantor", or "emergency contact". Please pay special attention: The "unit name" of parents should be the full name of the workplace. If they are unemployed, fill in "None". The "home contact information in the home country" and "current contact information of the applicant" can be the same if they are in the same country.

Yes. Undergraduate students who receive the Sichuan University Outstanding International Student Scholarship at our university must pay the full tuition fees for the semester at the beginning of each term and purchase insurance covering the semester. If they live in on-campus dormitories (apartments), they must also pay for accommodation.
