Humanistic education and cultivation of cross-cultural ability are high on the agenda of Sichuan University. SCU has been committed to creating opportunities for international students to understand Chinese culture and to interact and communicate with Chinese students.
To enrich students’ after-class life and promote exchanges between Chinese and international students, Sichuan University organizes colorful experience activities both within and outside the campus. International students are able to learn personal safety knowledge through the course Preparing for Disasters and Emergencies course, explore ancient Shu civilization through a visit to Sanxingdui Ruins, sample the uniqueness and intricacy of ethnic Qiang embroidery through hands-on experience at Tibetan and Ethnic Qiang Museum, or dive deep into the folk customs of ethnic minority groups in China via the Belt and Road cultural exchange program.
