China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program

Program Introduction

In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the exchange of scientific research young talents in the world, China Scholarship Council (CSC) continues to carry out China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship) in 2026.

 

Program Scheme

  1. Funding Categories

General scholar: applicable to current undergraduates or graduates. Senior scholar: applicable to current Ph. D candidates or faculties

  1. Duration

1-12 months

Start study in China no later than August 31, 2027.

  1. Working Language

English or Chinese, depending on the program provided by SiChuan University (SCU).

  1. Study/Research Fields:

All disciplines other than Chinese language study.

 

Funding

Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

 

 Eligibility

  1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health both mentally and physically.
  2. Be under 45 applying for general scholars. Be under 50 applying for senior scholars.
  3. Register as full-time student or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner university by the time of application and throughout the proposed stay in China.

  1. Have obtained admission qualification from the SCU for the next intake.

 

Application Process

  1. Applicants should contact SCU oversea student office in advance to obtain pre-admission qualification.
  2. Applicants should log in to the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) to complete CSC online scholarship application at least 3 months in advance. The Agency No. of SCU is 10610. For the Online Application Guide, please refer to Appendix 2.
  3. After submission, please contact the SCU oversea student office via Email nic8203@scu.edu.cn, and clearly inform us of the following information: “Full Name + CSC Serial Number + Application for China Link Scholarship”.
  4. CSC  notifies  SCU  of scholarship  award results.
  5. SCU notifies scholarship award results to applicants.
