2024 Summer Vacation is about to begin. To ensure a safe and happy vacation for all, we kindly remind you to pay attention to below important matters.
一、Overall Requirement
1.The 2024 Summer vacation is from July 14 to August 31. The registration for the 2024 fall semester is on August 29-30.
2.Pay attention to the expiration date of your resident permit. Students who need to extend their residence permit need make an appointment with your program coordinator.
3.Act in accordance with Chinese laws and regulations as well as SCU’s policies. Pay high attention to avoid violations, including illegal work, visa expiration, getting drunk and rowdy, and disturbing others. It is strictly forbidden to hold, use or sell drugs such as marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, ecstasy, etc.
二、For students who stay on campuses
4.Do not give your dorm keys to others or let visitors stay overnight. Students who need to leave campuses and cannot return on the same day must apply in advance, stating the reason for leaving, where to go and submitting full itinerary information, and receive approval before leaving. Students living off-campus who are leaving Chengdu are also required to do so.
5.Pay high attention to safe use of electricity. Do not use prohibited high-volume electric appliances like electric stove, and do not change electric wires without permission. It is strictly forbidden to charge the electrical bikes in the corridor or indoor. Report to dorm staffs if find anything unusual.
三、For students who travel
6.During the summer vacation, the outdoor temperature is high, please do a good job of heatstroke prevention and cooling, and be cautious of heatstroke and sunburn. Please close the windows before going out on rainy days, and avoid areas with stagnant water and poor traffic.
7.Abide by traffic laws and regulation, pay close attention to traffic safety. Riding motorcycles is forbidden. Do not over speed or overload when riding an E-bike, always follow the indication of traffic lights when on the road.
8.Do not carry lots of cash when going out. Keep safe of your personal documents, and do not lend your personal documents to others.Be alert to frauds and pyramid schemes. If you have noticed any suspicious persons, would you call police in time.
9.Keep your mobile phone on at all times while traveling. In case of an emergency, please contact your relevant teacher when it is safe to do so. Please call one of the following numbers in case you need an urgent help:
